CV
Evgenia Emets is an international artist and poet working across drawing, calligraphy, language, ecology, film, artist’s books, performance and large-scale land-based works. Her visual practice is rooted in the relationship between human culture and the living world, exploring forests as places of memory, intelligence, transformation and long-term continuity. Her drawings and calligraphic works emerge from direct encounters with forests, seeds, landscapes and ecological processes. Through line, gesture, text and organic form, she creates works that do not simply represent nature, but translate its hidden rhythms, structures and relational intelligence into visual language. Since 2018, Evgenia has been developing Eternal Forest Global, an expanded artistic and ecological body of work creating forest sanctuaries through art, biodiversity and community stewardship. Recent exhibitions and projects include Fossilidades, REVELAR, CAC, Torres Vedras, Portugal, 2026; Eternal Forest in Faia Brava, Portugal, 2025; Eternal Forest Grove, Encontros da Primavera, Picote, Portugal, 2025; Gifts From the Sentient Forest, Rovaniemi, Finland, 2025; ALTER ECO, The Arsenal Gallery, New York City, USA, 2024; Eternal Forest, Whitcomb’s Gallery, Split Rock Arts, Adirondacks, USA, 2024; Urban Nature, Chicago Sonic Pavilion, USA, 2024; Rewilding Time, Hall of Biodiversity, Ciência Viva Center, Porto, Portugal, 2024; Forest Time, Estufa Fria and Monsanto Forest Park, Lisbon, Portugal, 2023; and works at the National Museum of Natural History and Science and Botanical Garden of Lisbon, Portugal, 2022.
