Inside the book: Do we have a common language?

Do we have a common language? is an artist poetry book, in English and Russian, focusing on forms of language - visual and sonic, and is an organic continuation of my art practice. The collection of poetry reflects my recent research and interest in pattern and concrete poetry tradition as well as sound art, sound poetry and relationships between the visual and sonic aspects. Most poems serve as graphic scores for actual performances and the book itself is an artwork which continues both performative work and larger visual installation.

The book is published in a limited edition of 20 copies, hand bound, with a handwritten page inside the book, visual poetry drawings fragments, concrete poetry, a hidden page with an electronic poem. Each copy is signed and numbered.

The book is in the collection of British Library Link and National Poetry Library Link
